History of Our School

1936  National College of Pharmacy

The college was the root of the current CPU School of Pharmacy.

1950  East China School of Pharmacy

Teaching Group of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Analytical Identification were founded in Feb. 1952.

1952   East China School of Pharmacy
1956-1985  Nanjing College of Pharmacy

In Nov. 1952, the school set up the Department of Pharmaceutics, the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, the Department of Analytical Identification, and the Department for 2-year specialized courses.

In 1954, the former four departments were merged and managed by the Office of Academic Affairs.

In August 1972，the Office of Pharmacy and the Office of Chemical Engineering (later to be medicinal chemistry major) were established. .

In June 1978, the Department of Pharmacy and the Department of Medicinal Chemistry were re-established.

1986- today China Pharmaceutical University

From1986 to March 1987，our university had two departments: pharmacy and medicinal chemistry.

In March 1987, the school of pharmacy was officially founded.
